Revinate Chat is a browser-based AI virtual concierge. Guests reach it through a link sent by SMS or email from booking confirmation to seven days after check-out, and it answers in the guest's language using Revinate Core guest profile data (stay history, spend, preferences) and property content held in Vault, surfaces upsells, captures intent to book, and escalates complex or sensitive requests to staff with full context. Revinate says it resolves up to 80% of routine inquiries automatically, with a median resolution under two seconds (vendor claims). Rated medium: it is a guest-facing AI that answers automatically using personal profile data, and the vendor claims SOC 2 Type II, GDPR and CCPA compliance and an encrypted, isolated environment, but none of that could be verified (the Trust Center and DPA were unreadable). The open points: no AI model provider or sub-processor is named; the Ivy page says 'all outputs require approval before execution', which cannot apply to automatic guest replies; the Ivy FAQ says Chat serves SMS and WhatsApp while the Chat page says it replaced them; no accuracy, wrong-answer or escalation-error figures are published, and the vendor claims Ivy does not hallucinate; and what guests are told about interacting with an AI, and how chat content is retained or reused to improve Ivy, are not stated. The rating would rise if guest conversations are reused for cross-customer model training without opt-out.
