Emotie Intelligente Zorgrobot
An AI-based care robot designed to detect stress early in people with intellectual disabilities or dementia. It uses emotion recognition and personalized interventions to provide tailored care, reducing workload for caregivers and improving quality of life for clients. Developed by Mentech Innovation (HUME sensor platform) and Sara Robotics (Sara care robot), tested in a proeftuin (test environment) at Zorggroep Elde Maasduinen and Ipse de Bruggen, with research on validation and acceptance led by LUMC (Leiden University Medical Center).
