Enexis peak-load forecasting
by Enexis
Enexis uses AI to predict peak loads at locations in its electricity grid where demand is high, so it can anticipate and steer congestion in a more controlled way. The 2024 annual report lists 'We can predict peak demand at busy points on the grid, enabling us to anticipate and control congestion better' among its AI applications; the 2025 annual report reports more than 1,500 such forecasts per day. Grid operators use the forecasts to plan congestion-management measures; the reports do not describe automatic switching based on the forecasts. Model type, vendor and hosting are not stated. Enexis says all 33 AI systems it operates have undergone an EU AI Act risk assessment.
