The Digital Auditor is an AI tool built by Altrecht, a Dutch specialist mental health care (GGZ) organisation, that checks clinicians' care reports against registration and claims rules before claims go to health insurers. Altrecht says it replaced manual spot checks, which had found about 5% of consultations unlawful, and now checks 100% of care reports every day. When a report may not meet the rules, the clinician gets a notification in a list on their dashboard and can correct the record. Altrecht calls it a digital coach and says the clinician always keeps control and decides whether a change is needed, since a clinical reason can justify a registration. Altrecht names Gemini as the AI technology and says the tool runs in Altrecht's own secured Google Cloud environment, complies with the GDPR and keeps patient data within its own walls. It says the tool was built with outside experts and that it shares the code, an implementation guide and a video free with other mental health organisations on request.
