Ask Aletta

by Ask Aletta

AI Application
Low Confidence

Ask Aletta is an AI search engine for medical professionals and students, used by GPs, practice staff, out-of-hours GP services and hospital clinicians to answer clinical questions on phone, tablet or laptop, also by voice. The vendor says it answers only from selected sources, such as national and international guidelines (it names NHG, Kinderformularium, NVK and NCJ), medication information, publisher content and an organisation's own protocols, and shows the source with each answer so the user can open it. It asks follow-up questions, reads tables and flowcharts in guidelines, and checks each question for personal data before it is sent, offering one-click anonymisation. The vendor says the service is informational only, gives no patient-specific advice, must not receive patient data, can produce inaccurate output and does not replace professional judgment. Its FAQ says data is stored only in European data centres; its privacy statement allows processing outside the EEA under standard contractual clauses.
