Deftpower smart charging platform
by Deftpower
Deftpower (Arnhem) runs a smart-charging platform for mobility service providers: drivers share departure time and desired battery level in the MSP app, a connected-car link reads the state of charge, and Deftpower combines this with energy-market and grid data to build an optimised charging schedule, executed by the car or sent to the charge point via OCPI 2.2.1 charging profiles. Grid operator Liander runs a public smart-charging pilot with Deftpower, charge point operators Vattenfall and Allego and MSPs ANWB and Athlon at about 12,000 public charging points in Gelderland, paying EV drivers for shifting charging away from congested peaks. Drivers keep control through their stated preferences; the findings will feed a sector advisory report. Deftpower describes its scheduling as algorithms; the sources do not say it uses machine learning.
