Ibex Prostate
Ibex Prostate is software for pathology laboratories that analyses digitised whole-slide images of prostate biopsies, used by pathologists. The vendor says its AI highlights suspected cancer as heatmaps, assigns a Gleason grade, takes measurements, flags findings such as perineural invasion, sorts the case worklist, helps pre-order immunohistochemistry and drafts the report. In its IVDR announcement the vendor describes the intended use as supporting pathologists in the primary diagnosis of prostate biopsies, with the AI analysing slides before the pathologist reviews them; the pathologist reviews the AI findings and signs out the diagnosis. It can run inside image-management systems such as Proscia Concentriq. The vendor says its environment is hosted on AWS in a virtual private cloud across several regions, with encryption in transit and at rest, but does not name the regions. In the United States the product is for research use only.
