Jane AI
Jane AI is the AI assistant built into James, a web-based electronic record for therapy practices such as speech therapy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, podiatry, optometry, mental health and youth mental health, sold by James Software. The vendor says Jane records an intake conversation and pre-fills record fields such as the help request, medication, medical history and previous care; turns dictation into text for the daily journal or record fields; summarises dictated notes or client conversations at a chosen level of detail; and can rewrite text as a SOEP note. It supports Dutch, English, German, French and Spanish and can translate back into Dutch. The vendor says Jane proposes and the clinician decides: fields are shown to the user first, can be edited or partly taken over, and only the clinician decides what is saved in the record. James says it built Jane in-house in Microsoft's cloud, that conversations are processed in memory and not stored by Microsoft, are not used for model training, and that all data stays within the EEA.
