N-SIDE probabilistic congestion forecaster
by N-SIDE
Data-driven forecaster that strengthens TenneT's existing node forecasts and accounts for uncertainty at every node when calculating potential congestion across the whole network, combining machine learning with energy-flow simulations and probabilistic methods. It works day-ahead and near-real-time. N-SIDE was one of three winners of TenneT's 2023 open innovation programme on grid congestion, run with Enexis, Liander and Stedin; in July 2023 TenneT announced it would start working with N-SIDE straight away on concrete next steps. Forecasts support TenneT's operators; the source does not describe automated actions.
