StrokeViewer
by Nicolab
StrokeViewer is a cloud platform for acute stroke care, used by hospital stroke teams and regional stroke networks. CT scans are sent from the hospital to the platform, where the vendor says its AI modules flag a suspected large vessel occlusion and its location, detect intracranial and subarachnoid haemorrhage, compute an ASPECTS score on non-contrast CT, score collaterals and analyse CT perfusion. The team is notified on their phones, and results can be viewed in a web or mobile DICOM viewer, by email or back in the hospital PACS; images can be shared with other hospitals in the network. The vendor says results are always visible so that decisions are left to the clinician's own observation, and users must be trained before they use the service. The vendor says data from Dutch hospitals are processed on servers in the Netherlands, with possible overflow to its servers in Belgium or Germany, and its data processing agreement names Google Cloud, AWS and Stream.io as sub-processors.
