ChestEye Quality

by Oxipit

AI Application
Low Confidence

ChestEye Quality is quality-assurance software for chest X-rays, used in radiology departments to catch findings that a radiologist's final report missed. Oxipit now markets it as 'Quality' within its CXR Suite; in its EUDAMED registration it is one of four functions of the ChestEye device, described as identifying potential reporting errors made by radiologists. The vendor says it analyses the final report together with the image, using a deep neural network on the X-ray, and flags discrepancies in near-real time; it can also audit large image archives retrospectively. Oxipit says a second human radiologist first reviews the flags, and only confirmed suspicions go to the reporting radiologist by email, with a heat map marking the area, for another look; the hospital can assign one of its own radiologists to that review. Oxipit says ChestEye is usually installed on the hospital's premises, with cloud deployment possible, and works on anonymised data; it names no hosting provider. Oxipit has been part of Sectra since 2026.

Oxipit says ChestLink reports autonomously only on studies where it is highly confident there are no abnormalities, leaves any study with 'the slightest suspicion' to the radiologist, and recommends retrospective analysis and supervised operation before autonomous reporting (https://oxipit.ai/article/autonomous-ai-medical-imaging-understanding-chestlink/, 5 Apr 2022, read 2026-10-20). In the Finnish primary-care study it cites, ChestLink identified 36.4% of studies without significant findings at 99.8% sensitivity, with nine false negatives (slightly enlarged heart, slightly increased opacification, a small pleural effusion) among 9,579 cases (https://oxipit.ai/products/chestlink/, read 2026-10-20). The vendor refers users to the user guide for indications, contraindications and warnings; it is not public (https://oxipit.ai/regulatory-compliance-and-certifications/, read 2026-10-20).
