Vattenfall AI coding agents (proof of concept)

Vattenfall's Dutch director of customer IT said in June 2025 that Vattenfall engineers are running proofs of concept with AI agents that turn natural-language instructions into code, testing both their value and whether they can be used safely. The same interview says Vattenfall has its own closed GenAI environment for employees, governed by an AI Council that handles governance and standardisation, and trains some AI models on its own data in its own data centre. No vendor, model or hosting is named for the coding agents.
