IDeaS G3 RMS is the flagship SaaS revenue management system of IDeaS Revenue Solutions (Integrated Decisions and Systems, Inc., a SAS company since 2008). Launched in 2009 on SAS analytics, it ingests reservation, rate, cancellation, group and competitor-rate data from property management and distribution systems (102 integrations claimed) and uses demand forecasting and optimization (vendor-described as machine learning, stochastic optimization and related techniques) to set room prices, inventory controls, overbooking levels and length-of-stay restrictions by room type, which can be published automatically to distribution channels, including intraday On Demand Optimization. The product family includes IDeaS RMS for smaller properties, RevPlan (budgeting and forecasting), SmartSpace (meeting and event space), Optix and Portfolio Navigator (analytics), Spotlight (demand intelligence for marketing) and parking and cruise variants. IDeaS Answers is a generative AI assistant that, per IDeaS Generative AI Terms, runs on Anthropic models via Amazon Bedrock, with prompts and responses treated as client confidential information, not used to train models, retained only temporarily, and with clients told not to enter personal data. Users are hotel revenue managers, commercial directors and portfolio owners at independent hotels and chains (vendor reports 34,000+ properties in 174 countries). Rated medium: G3 RMS is not an Annex III high-risk use case under the EU AI Act (hotel room pricing is not listed), and its core inputs are mostly aggregated booking and market data rather than special categories, but it makes automated, consumer-facing pricing decisions at scale, can process guest personal data passed through PMS feeds (the SaaS Privacy Policy mentions financial, demographic and purchase data), feeds on competitor rate data at a time when algorithmic pricing tools in hospitality face antitrust scrutiny, and IDeaS publishes almost no assurance evidence (no public trust center, SOC 2 or ISO 27001 statement, sub-processor list or hosting regions; DPA only on request). The open points are hosting location and EU data residency, sub-processors (including SAS group entities), security certifications, how guest-level data is minimised, controls preventing competitor-sensitive data from informing other clients' prices, and breach notification timelines.
