Turnitin Feedback Studio is Turnitin's web and LMS-integrated tool where students hand in written assignments and instructors check them for similarity, give feedback and grade them. Schools and universities use it for coursework submission, plagiarism checking and rubric-based grading. The vendor says that with the Turnitin Originality add-on an in-house classifier shows the share of a submission that was likely written or modified by AI tools, and an Authorship report uses computational linguistics to check whether the writing matches a student's earlier work. The vendor also says the Paper to Digital add-on uses AI to group similar handwritten answers so they can be graded at once, that a beta feature uses Claude Haiku 4.5 to suggest first-pass feedback and draft a summary comment from the instructor's rubric scoring, and that Amazon Transcribe captions video feedback. Turnitin says it does not make a determination of misconduct, that the AI writing percentage should not be the sole basis for action, and that AI-drafted comments are for the instructor to review.
