Maia is the AI assistant in LessonUp, a Dutch platform that teachers use to build and present interactive lessons. The vendor says Maia generates a structured interactive lesson from a prompt, pasted text or a photo and generates quiz and other interactive questions from a teacher's slides. LessonUp's wider AI tools create assignments, rubrics, glossaries, lesson summaries, debate topics and images, and summarise, rewrite or translate texts and websites. The vendor says teachers must review each generated interactive question before it becomes a slide and that AI cannot guide students.
