Simacan Control Tower is a platform on which shippers and carriers follow road transport together: where each truck is, when it will arrive and how trips went afterwards. Stores, distribution centres, planners and drivers use it. Simacan says machine learning predicts future traffic intensity from historical data and that these predictions feed the calculation of arrival times, which itself uses deterministic algorithms. The company states that AI supports insight and does not make operational decisions.
