SmartSpeed Precise
by Philips
SmartSpeed Precise is Philips' deep-learning image reconstruction for its MRI scanners, used by MRI radiographers and radiologists to make scans faster and sharper. Philips says it combines its Compressed SENSE acceleration with two AI engines: Adaptive-CS-Net, a deep-learning reconstruction trained with Compressed SENSE data and applied at the source of the MR signal to remove noise, and Precise Net, applied to the raw complex image data to boost sharpness. Philips claims scans up to three times faster than its SENSE imaging and up to 80% sharper images, and says applying the AI early allows a k-space data consistency check. It is sold as software for new and installed Philips 1.5T and 3.0T MR systems and is part of the scanner, not a separate application. The AI changes how images are reconstructed; it does not look for findings, and the radiologist reads the images as with any MRI. Philips describes it as built into the MR system's reconstruction and names no cloud processing.
