Powerplay
by Zonneplan
Powerplay is Zonneplan's self-developed energy platform that steers customers' Zonneplan Nexus home batteries, and later charging points and solar inverters, on energy-market prices. Zonneplan's launch post (17 January 2024) says Powerplay uses AI and machine learning to set the best charge strategy at every moment of the day, charging mainly on imbalance prices rather than hourly dynamic tariffs. Customers with solar panels or a Zonneplan charging point can switch on grid-support steering themselves in the app; the battery page says steering is automatic and the customer does not need to act. Zonneplan pays customers a share of the result and works with grid operators Enexis, Liander and Stedin on grid support. Zonneplan reports 'thousands' of home batteries in use.
