Rasa is software that a company's own team uses to build and run customer-facing AI agents for chat and voice. Its CALM engine uses a large language model to interpret what the customer says and predefined flows to carry out the business logic. The customer hosts the software itself, in a private cloud or on its own servers, and connects the language model of its choice; OpenAI is the default provider in the documentation. Rasa says it does not host customer data.
