ResearchRabbit
by Litmaps
ResearchRabbit is a web-based literature discovery tool, now run by Litmaps (Litmap Limited, New Zealand), that starts from 'seed' papers and finds similar, earlier and later work, related authors and citation networks, shown as interactive maps, with collections, alerts and Zotero integration. Students and researchers use it for literature reviews and to keep up with new papers in their field. The vendor says candidate papers are chosen through citations, shared references, co-authorship and semantic similarity of titles and abstracts and then ranked by a scoring algorithm, that its algorithms adapt recommendations to users' reading patterns, and that its AI features for natural language processing and 'AI insights' run through Databricks and OpenAI. Users choose the seed papers and search settings that steer the results.
