SAS Viya
SAS Viya is SAS Institute's data and AI platform, used in hospitals by data analysts, data scientists and capacity planners to build, run and monitor their own predictive models. The vendor lists machine learning, forecasting, optimisation, natural language processing and computer vision, with Model Studio for building models, Model Manager for monitoring and governance and Visual Analytics for dashboards; Viya Copilot drafts and explains code and report content from natural-language prompts. It is a platform, not a ready-made clinical product: in a SAS customer story a hospital built a machine-learning model that predicts when admitted patients can be discharged and a capacity dashboard, refreshed every five minutes, showing expected bed pressure for the next two weeks. Planners, department managers and capacity advisers review it in a weekly planning meeting and decide on extra staff, operating-theatre capacity or keeping rooms free. SAS says Viya runs on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or on-premises; hosting for hospital deployments is not stated.
