ScholarOne Manuscripts
by Silverchair
ScholarOne Manuscripts is a submission and peer-review management system that journals use to receive manuscripts, screen them, invite reviewers and record editorial decisions; Silverchair bought it from Clarivate in November 2024. Publishers, learned societies and journal editorial offices run it, and researchers use it as authors and reviewers. The vendor says it is adding AI features, including an Editor AI Console, developed with pilot partners, that writes summaries of a manuscript's methodology, ethical considerations and publication readiness on the manuscript page, with editors in control of the prompts. Publishers can also switch on a ScholarOne tool that helps detect fake peer reviews, and connect partner screening tools through ScholarOne's APIs. Silverchair's AI terms say AI outputs may not be accurate and should be reviewed by a human before use.
