Sensara
by Sensara
Sensara is a lifestyle-monitoring platform for older people who live at home, in clustered housing or in nursing homes, used by district nurses, dementia case managers and night-care teams, with an app for family carers. Sensors in the home (body-heat motion sensors, door contacts and a bed sensor that also picks up heart rate) feed a central unit; there are no cameras or microphones. The vendor says its AI learns each client's normal daily pattern in about two weeks and then flags deviations from that personal pattern rather than fixed thresholds: inactivity or a possible fall, not returning to bed or home, night-time wandering, and changes in toilet use, eating or day structure, graded green, orange or red. Care staff see the signals on a web dashboard or app, optionally routed to a care alarm centre, and decide how to respond. The vendor says Sensara is not a medical device, gives no diagnoses and does not replace care or medical assessment, and that the platform is fully cloud-based and hosted in the Netherlands.
