ValueCare AI registration control and coding
by ValueCare
ValueCare's registration control and coding service checks and partly automates care registration and billing for hospitals, mental health, addiction and forensic care. It is used by care-control and registration staff. ValueCare runs daily checks of registrations for completeness and lawfulness, part of its 'Integrale Risicobeheersing' service, and says not all of its services use AI. The vendor says its own language models read free-text reports in the patient record to find care that was delivered but not registered, prove that care was actually delivered for horizontal supervision with insurers, and flag improper parallel care pathways. AI models also choose the principal and secondary LBZ diagnosis codes for day admissions, and robotic process automation writes the codes into the patient record. For emergency-department checks, ValueCare says found activities go to action lists where staff approve them before they enter the record; it describes no review step for the automated LBZ coding. ValueCare says data stays on its servers or in the hospital.
