Vattenfall internal GenAI solution
by Vattenfall
Vattenfall offers its staff its own closed generative AI environment, according to Vattenfall Netherlands' director of customer IT (June 2025). It was set up so that company data stays inside Vattenfall; the company also trains its own models on its own data in its own data centre, and runs proofs of concept with AI agents that turn natural-language requests into code. An AI Council within IT sets standards, reuse, ethics and security rules, with emphasis on data classification to prevent leaks through AI tools. Employees receive AI training, and the IT works councils are involved in deciding how AI can be used safely. The model and supplier behind the environment are not named.
