Vibe (formerly Le Chat) is Mistral AI's AI assistant, combining a chat assistant for work and a coding agent in one product; Mistral says Le Chat is now Vibe and that conversations, settings and plans carried over. Individuals, teams and organisations use it to answer questions, search the web and internal documents, run deep research, analyse spreadsheets, draft documents and emails, and write and test code, with connectors to email, calendar, GitHub and other tools; students and teachers can get a discounted Education plan (the Pro plan) by verifying an institutional email address. The vendor says Vibe runs on Mistral's own models, that data is hosted in the EU by default, and that Enterprise customers are opted out of model training by default, while individual Free, Pro and Education users are opted in unless they opt out and Team admins can switch training off for the organisation. Mistral says Enterprise customers can deploy Vibe on-premises, in a private cloud or on Mistral Cloud, and that bulk processing workflows can include human checkpoints.
